January 13, 2018 Meeting



We hope that you will have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  

Our next stated meeting will be held at San Felipe on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at noon.  

This will be the week before Grand Lodge.  So don't forget that the deadline for preregistration is December 28, 2017. No Preregistrations will be accepted AFTER that date.  It MUST be in the Grand Secretary’s Office by that date. 

Please send the preregistration forms with the $25.00 registration fee (check or money order). Forms without the fee will not be processed.

The tentative agenda for our January meeting will include:
  • Three sets of minutes.
  • Standing committee reports.
  • Review of Grand Lodge information.
  • Usual business.
  • A fraternal lunch and fellowship.

  • Fraternal Assistance, Sickness, and Arbitration – Does any member of this lodge, or any visiting brother know of any brother in sickness or in distress?
  • Audit Committee – Vernon Holguin, Mike Dupuy, Mitch Hammack – No report anticipated 
  • Members in Arrears – are now set to work, Randy Laza, Vernon Holguin, and Chris Dalrymple  
  • Internet and PR Committee – Chris Dalrymple.  Our web site is active at http://olivebranch26.blogspot.com.  Check there for reports, news, information and meeting notices.  Email cdal@fixback.com with anything you would like to see posted.  
  • Planning Committee – SW Vernon Holguin, Sec. Randy Laza, Trs. Jerry Jackson and other interested brothers are our committee for planning the future events for this year and leading into SW Holguin’s year. The committee should consider IF Olive Branch should:
 present a Golden Trowel Award
 present a Community Builder award
 present a Mirabeau B. Lamar Award
 nominate a recipient for the Daniel Carter Beard Masonic Award 
 present any other awards within the San Felipe community (local recognitions).
 or participate in laying a cornerstone for the museum building.

9) Communications from the Grand Master and the Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Texas – Anything to report?
