Special Stated Meeting of June 14, 2020

A Special Stated Meeting of Olive Branch Lodge No. 26 A. F. & A. M. was held at San Felipe, Texas, on Saturday, the 13th day of  June A.D. 2020, A.L. 6020.

The worshipful master, Vernon Holguin pictured at left, opened the special stated meeting at 12:00 PM with eight member brothers and three visiting brothers in attendance.  It was good to see our brethren again and participate in our usual rituals honoring God, country, and Freemasonry.          (cont...)

RW Brother Charles Law, DDGM of Masonic District 44 made his official visit to the lodge and was received as prescribed. Not only was RW Law present as DDGM for the 44th Masonic district, but also Olive Branch member Keith Borst DDGM for the 108th Masonic District.  Thank you gentlemen for your participation!

The lodge conducted much of its usual work including committee reports, but we deferred the reading of the minutes and final action on our bylaws proposal to the July regular stated meeting so that there could be no confusion regarding what were permissible actions and what were not permissible.

Election of officers for the 2020-21 Masonic year ensued and the following were elected:

  • James Muller, WM
  • Keith Borst, SW
  • Owen West, JW
  • Jerry Jackson, Treasurer
  • Chris Dalrymple, Secretary

WM-elect Muller appointed the following officers:
  • Mike Dupuy, Chaplain
  • Larry Arnold, SD
  • Vernon Holguin, JD (pictured at right)  and
  • Andrew Getz, Tiler
The Stewards will be appointed as necessary.

RW Charles Law then presented the message of the Grand Master and the lodge closed with peace and harmony prevailing.

We thank the officers and members of Olive Branch Lodge for their service and participation.  We thank WM Holguin for allowing us to poke good natured fun at him. We thank the newly elected members for stepping up and preparing to serve for the 2020-21 Masonic year.

We thank all the members of and visitors to Olive Branch No. 26 as we strive to honor Masonry and history through our works and fellowship.  We invite all Masons to attend at our next stated meeting July 11, 2020, where we will conduct the installation of our new officers and resume our regular labors within the limitations established by the Grand Master.
